In Diablo II Resurrected, gold is mostly obtained by defeating enemies and selling items. Useful to upgrade chipped and flawed gems. If you plan on using this recipe a lot, you may want to farm up a lot of Hel Runes! Removing gems isn’t all you can do with the powerful cube.

It's interesting that you cite Diablo 3 as a good system, as inventory management was what ended that game for me. You can use them to re-roll Scepters in Act 2 ( Scepter + 3 Chipped Gems in Horadric Cube ), potentially granting +x to Blessed Hammer. It gives you a chipped gem, or upgrades one of your gems in your inventory if it's not already perfect. It is a useful tool in your journey through the game. we can put 3 less gems today to form a better quality one.
